Booking FAQs

As you’d expect, this isn’t going to be a normal summer. So to clarify how we are operating, here is a simple FAQ style guide to our operating procedures during this pandemic:

When are you open?
12-11 every day.

Can I walk in and get a table?
No. To ensure the safety of our customers and staff, we are only taking table bookings – if you walk in without a booking you will not be served.

Can I book a table outside?
For the first time, you can book a socially distanced table inside or outside. Of course, this means that you are taking a risk with the weather: if it chucks it down, you might not be able to move inside; likewise though, if the weather is amazing you wouldn’t want to be stuck inside.

How do I order?
Inside is table service like a regular restaurant. Outdoor diners will need to fill out a menu order and order at the bar.

How long do I have my table?
2 hrs during the day and from 7 the table is yours for the night. This is both to make it worth our while opening and to ensure every table is cleaned and sanitised between each sitting.

Can I book a table for drinks only?
Yes, we will have a handful of tables available for drinks only but you must call first to book them.

Can I come and have a drink before dinner?
Don’t come a few hours early and expect space for pre dinner drinks. Or to find space for after dinner drinks. If there is a spare table, we will try to be accommodating but please don’t assume.

Has the menu changed?
Both the food and drink menu is paired down in case we have another lockdown. But there are still plenty of tasty options available.

Are you doing takeaway?
Yes, most of the menu is available for takeaway too.

Can I pay with cash?
No. Card or phone only.

What are the restrictions on households dining together?
We are restricted to 2 households per table indoors.

Are you supplying masks etc and do I need to wear one?
I’d like to see you eat with a mask on, but in all seriousness no we are not providing masks. If you want to wear one, that’s your choice. We will be wearing the appropriate PPE.

Can my children play on the pirate ship?
Only if we can realistically supervise it.

Will I be expected to give you my contact details?
Yes, we will ask for names, phone numbers, email and main address information for every one who dines here.
